Leopard Bulb-Leaf Orchid is a small sized,
tree-dwelling or rock-dwelling orchid with close set, ovoid, decurved,
slightly rugose pseudobulbs carrying a single, ellipic, pointed leaf
narrowed into the stalked base. The plant blooms in the fall on a

spotted or suffused with red or purple, sometimes with a yellow halo
around numerous red or purple spots, lip yellow, above strongly
suffused with red. Flower-stalk and ovary are 2.8-5.0 cm. Dorsal sepal
is recurved, elliptic to ovate-triangular, 14-20 x 6.5-13.5 mm, rather
thick; lateral sepals free, recurved, ovate to triangular, 15-23 x
10-15 mm. Petals are recurved, elliptic to ovate, 10-14 x 5-9 mm,
rather thick; lip recurved, ovate, 9.5-14 x 6-9 mm, thick.
Leopard Bulb-Leaf Orchid is found in Himalaya to China and Indo-China,
